BOTOX Cosmetic is a prescription injectable medical aesthetic treatment that temporarily improves the appearance of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet, frown lines, and vertical neck bands connecting the neck and jaw in adults.
For moderate to severe forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet lines the FDA-approved amount of BOTOX Cosmetic that can be injected are 20 units for frown lines, 20 units for forehead lines and 24 units for crow’s feet (12 on each side). Specific amount needed can be determined on your free initial consultation.
You may start to see results for moderate to severe forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet lines in 1-2 days with full results in 30 days. Results can last up to four months. BOTOX Cosmetic is a temporary treatment, so it’s important to stay on top of appointments. Treatments should be spaced at least 90 days apart. So whenever you get treated with BOTOX Cosmetic be sure to book your next appointment on the way out.
After your Botox treatment, you may experience mild swelling or redness at the injection sites, but these side effects typically subside within a few hours. There’s no recovery time needed, and you can return to your regular routine immediately. It’s important to avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas for a few hours after the treatment, as this may affect the results.
